About Me

Melissa Warren: Melissa Warren is a writing instructor at University of Phoenix, she has worked for the University since 2008. She has seventeen years of classroom experience and started her career in 2002 as a high school English teacher. She served as the 2013 North Carolina Southeast Regional Teacher of the Year and holds a M.Ed. In Secondary Education/English and a National Board Certification in Adolescence and Young Adult English Education. Along with her position at UOPX, she has worked as part-time English instructor for The North Carolina Career and College Ready program. She most recently presented at the Read. Write. Act. 2017 Virtual Conference. She is passionate about creating safe and authentic learning environments.
